OK, the winner is... There are two winners and I need to explain why.
We picked the original winner. It was @BillJones. This did not sit well with me because I replied to his post.
Mr. Bill (a well known and "important" member here) entered the contest; got three chances to win as he helped me reach 1001 points; said he was going to use the coin for educational purposes; and even requested a picture of the altered coin. If I had entered this contest, the outcome would have possibly looked to be "rigged."
Anyway, Bill is the winner; BUT in the interest of making sure their are no questions that the drawing was truly random and a case of luck, I insisted on another drawing!
The winner of the second drawing was @3stars. He will also win a similar "Sample" with an altered cent; not the one imaged in the OP. That goes to Bill. Thanks for playing!
