  • Katy Texas but not for long. My wife retires next May and we are getting ready to build a smaller but nice home near Kerrville Texas. We are going from the concrete jungle to the prettiest part of the state and I am counting down the days. We did not flood but life near Houston is too hectic and was so before the hurricane. I can't take the humidity and traffic any more.

I'm on the NW side too. Wait. Are you you or are you me?

    Edison Park here.

Hey, we're neighbors. I'm right next door in Park Ridge.

    Pretty much! Small world.

I lived my entire life in the S and SW suburbs of Chicago, until a month ago. I jumped across the border to Indiana. I'll save 5000 a year living here, at least.

I got ' Illi- nnoyed'. No tax on coins but everything else in the state is a wreck.

Thank you, its a longer commute, but worth it. We got lucky with a property just over the border. I hope, somehow, they keep the tax- happy people at bay until you can get out.
