I believe there are 11 dates...from memory with an S...........and I think that you have pretty much covered the grades good luck
and I also thought about the "no rules" aspect
I'm with you, Ricko..... It's hard to "guess" and even harder to "know". Therefore, I don't think it would grade or get a date. I thought others might feel free to post coins with the same type of problems. Where it's nearly impossible to ascertain the " coin facts ". As for rules and prizes, you are all winners, in my book.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
I can guarantee that is not correct. Are you hedging?
No, I would not grade it VG-7, but aside from the date, the rest of the coin is VG. The mintmark is too sharp for recast of the coin. Is that part of the game?
I once had a Type II Standing Liberty Quarter in Mint State that had a barely readable date. The coin was an MS-64 that PCGS graded MS-62, probably because of the date issue.

I've been told by many here that it could go PO-01
And by others here that it could not
Haven't sent it in....not sure I ever will.
But it is a conversation piece for sure.
