PCGS MS64 Gold CAC
Unless we cannot see hairlines, all of us believe you have an under graded coin by at least one point. Nevertheless, I'd keep it right where it is MS-64 gold bean as that's a nice conversation piece, it's already slabbed and protected, eventually it will be a great example of "gradeflation," and will always be worth MS-65 or 66 price, etc.

Gold stickers are cool. I wounder what it does to the price of a $30 coin?
Gold sticker means undergraded, of course, but they don't say by how much. Everyone assumes a gold sticker means 1 point undergraded, but it could be 2 or even 3, such as this coin.

I was wondering too. I bought this coin when the CAC gold sticker craze was going on and do not think I paid much at all for it. That's the only reason I bought it.
Remember, the gold sticker indicates that the coin is "at least" one full grade too low on the slab. Accordingly, it could easily go MS 66 or even higher by today's standards. That's one you might send back to CAC for for review and a follow up phone call.
Lovely coin.
If you do what you always did, you get what you always got.
After my last submission to CAC, I got to speak to Mr. Albanese about a few of my coins. One that I thought was a lock two point undergrade as a 63 did not gold. Mr. Albanese explained to me that they don't give out gold very often and that the coin had to be very strong in order to get the gold bean. He said that my 63 would need to be at least a 64.9 in their eye's to be given the gold. He did tell me that if I had the coin regraded and it came back in a 64 holder, it would still get a green bean.
So I got to learn some great info on why some coins will get a green sticker and will still sticker one grade up upon resubmission. And that really a coin needs to be a minimum of almost 2 points under graded to get the coveted gold.
This would explain why your gorgeous Buffalo got the gold. They see it as a 66 if not better. It would be nice if they could explain to you what they thought the correct grade should be in their opinion.

Thanks! I didn't know that. It explains a lot of my observations.

I am thinking 66
Agree 66
Looks 66 to me.
66 would be a fair grade..... Cheers, RickO
Ditto 66. I'm guessing the diagonal lines on the revere are from the plastic.
Yes sir, it is on the plastic.
Thank you to everyone who has responded. I'll post the grade tomorrow.
Looks 66 or maybe better. Nice Buff for sure no matter what it's graded.
That's a beauty.......66-67 to me. Like Joe said.....nice Buff no matter what it's graded.
Looks 66+ to me, but I'll take a contrarian stance, and say that the graders thought they saw rub and gave it a 58+
I can't see any contact marks in the picture. Great strike and luster. I'll swag a 66+ with a shot at 7 on a Friday at PCGS.
I'll be the Debbie Downet and go 65. Great looking coin, but so many are out there with booming luster

65.
I'm going to go with a 66 plus.......
I have one just like it that they called a 65, so I'll go with 65. My GTG on it got very similar responses to this one.
(IMO 66+, but I'm no expert)

I see no reason it couldn't be a 67.

Looks more like a 66 in the full slab image.
64 in an OGH..................it figures.

64? Geesh! It looks like a 66.
