    Typical weak strike on the knot and hair. Nice reverse. Clean fields. Was gonna say 64 but changed my mind.

    With the toning on this coin, would need to see in hand, with the proverbial loupe, to give a good estimate.

    Even with the slightly weak obverse strike, I like this as a 66. 65+ if not.

    That's a very attractive 1918 Buff you have there. I would say 65 if the luster's all good. Very nice :)

    If it doesn't get into trouble because of the color, I'd say MS-66. I had a colorful one like that that got bounced back to me in a body bag because it was claimed to have AT.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Thank you so much. I have several like this that I picked up raw and they all certified and have CAC'd. This one is in a 64 and in for a regrade. In hand it's incredible.

    Hopefully when you get it back I can see it in hand. It looks pretty nice, I would have thought it would have been a 65 already.

    Gut instinct before reading the other comments was 66. Hard to really nail it down without seeing it in hand. At any rate, a beauty with great color.
