Got these kennedys off of eBay a year ago and was curious if they are AT or real toning.

    You know exactly what you are doing and it involves attempting to sell your stuff on this main forum when there is a more appropriate place.

    I send more interesting 40% to the big coin buyer several times a year, and take whatever he pays.

    Natural toning.

    And if he's trying to an end around on BST, Mr. Dugan, that's a really bad coin to be doing it with as it isn't worth much either way. Give the guy a break, will you?

    Nothing screams AT... and on such coins, usually the tarnish would be more 'artful' if done to sell... Cheers, RickO

    I was going to say "NT" when I looked at the obverses, but then I saw the toning concentrated in the center of the reverse of the second one, and that made me wonder. That is unusual. It might be the result of retoning after a dip. That sort of toning is sort of "NT" if it has formed over a period of years.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
