Hi everyone,
This coin was posted for sale in one of the groups
Myself and a few other well educated Numismatist oversee and I would like your opinion on the authenticity on this coin.
These are currently the only pictures of it until the owner sends me better ones. Thanks for your input.

The detail on the reverse shield looks incredibly weak, even for a worn coin. And that spreads into the inner feather detail too. Obverse details are much sharper than the reverse....that's unusual. The 9 and 0 in the date look funky. The 1's are closer to the denticles than the 9 and 0. I'm not a fan.
What knowledgeable seller writes 90% silver on the holder for an AU58 1901-s half dollar? Certainly not an AU58 coin other than some "details." On the plus side there is some "dirt" in the devices such as the "9." Has the look of a dug up and somewhat corroded coin?
Based on those images, it is counterfeit.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Fake.
Tom B saves me from having to write a longer comment on this.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaakk" . . hairball
I doubt it's 90% silver either.
I scrolled down and saw the first 20% of the coin and the Spidey sense was already at 100%
Latin American Collection
No good.
fake
The grainy face, plus the area at "IN GOD" are highly suspect.
I vote NG
BHNC #203
As others stated the photos provided make a very suspect impression, but it could just be the low resolution photos are tricking the eye. Nothing like seeing the coin in hand to know for certain, however. At least all of the design elements are correct. Here's mine for comparitive purposes:
to me the stars don't look right (almost like flowers--not stars). I vote fake.
Tampa Jeff, that coins is nice!
Fake to me
Doesn't pass the initial eye test to me
One look, and my response was "no good." The date looked wrong compared to the rest of the coin, and the lettering and die work are off.
I made that in my basement. I'm testing the market while I work on my roll of 01-s quarters.
Dave
As soon as I saw the stars and date I knew it was fake.
I was very suspicious after I actually looked at the coin. Thanks everyone for your feedback.

Looks like one of those cheap Chinese fakes for sale on AliExpress.com. Who really buys that junk? They'd stop making them if there was not a market for them.
faker than fake
