LordM's "Eclectic Box" (formerly "Box of 20"), as of June 22, 2017

Trying to format a full repost over here would be a nightmare, but please do take a peek at my collection and newps over on CoinTalk, if you're so inclined. I know I've been much scarcer over here since last fall, but I still respect the opinions of members on this site above all others.
I think the "Eclectic Box" has come a very long way in its evolution since I first posted it here four years ago.

Even better
Your box of 20 has come a long way since those 2013 posts you linked.

That is a really nice set of coins.
More than one of them had me thinking, ooh! I need one of those all of a sudden!
A big Congrats on a beautiful box of 20, that was truly a pleasure to view. You obviously have a discriminating eye and great taste.
One day I hope to buy that South Sea shilling from you!
Interesting

Truly impressive
All are great but the 2 that stick in my mind are the Persues and Aethelred II, colors are captivating
Outstanding LordM! I always enjoy your posts and learn something in the process.
Please come by more often.
Some cool ancients and dark side stuff. All beautiful coins.
I agree....why limit yourself to 20!

Wow! That is quite a collection ... I know how tough some of these pieces in the states of preservation that you have.
And here I thought all you did was collect coins with holes in them for your hat!
LMAO!!

Thank you. You have discerning taste. Those are two of my "Top Three", as it happens.
The third leg in the tripod is the 1806 gilt proof halfpenny (if you go by my personal choice), or the 1842-D half-eagle (if you go by monetary value).
The Dahlonega coin is my most valuable by a wide margin. It is the only coin for which I have ever paid a four-figure sum. I like it, but it is a bit of a "pink elephant" in my collection and is only in my top seven or eight favorites despite being the costliest.
I belong in the two- and three-figure-pricetag league. Have gradually learned to embrace that fact rather than lament it. I'll never "run with the big dawgs", but if I can build a small collection of high quality that stands out in its budget class, I can be proud of that.
Nice to hear from you @lordmarcovan
