Care to report this fake trade dollar on ebay?
thanks, the seller even has photos of the edge which pretty much settles the issue. I know, there are zillions of these but I just hit my limit.

Yes, a pretty crude fake, On top of the polish job.
It could be a full time job policing the bay. You would think after
All the returns and claims that they deal with, they could employ a few people that could identify and pull these. But that would ultimately cost them money. So they just count on the thousands that don't get noticed and play stupid. Buyer beware as always.

Reported.
That coin looks like a "flea market fake quality" fake.
I was set up at a flea market a couple of months ago and a guy proudly walks over to my table with a canvas bag filled with these types of fakes.
The second he dumped them out I told him that they were all fake.
He told me to tell that to the guy he bought them from.
I refrained and told him that was not my job to police his purchases, and suggested he learn a little bit more about Trades before he started buying bags full of them.
the bulbous letter variety
exactly, like there is a tiny fitting somewhere for an air pump to inflate them.
Any idea what he paid for them? P.T. Barnum is alive and well!
They used to have someone that would receive reports about these from a small group of trusted "evaluators." They could pull those listings pronto. Unfortunately, those jobs were eliminated.
Obvious.... there are so many fake coins on ebay....We see one or two a day called out here... and likely many more that do not make this forum. Cheers, RickO
sleazeBay is no better at policing sales of counterfeit coins than AliExpress.

I don't really know.
I'm guessing he "got a deal" because he was very eager to dump them on me.
The sound they made when he dumped them out of the bag was laughable.
That was all I needed.
I really think he was excited about his bargain purchase--I don't think he was trying to dump fakes on me...but who knows.
Maybe if you do it enough times you will find somebody..????
Listing gone. thanks folks!
