AU50.
I'm in the XF45 camp, but would be happy to consider an AU grade if there's some luster there that the photo isn't showing.
Old time XF. Today AU-50, details. So we are all correct!
EDIT: Forgot to put IMO.
Like the detail, but the color is off to me.
It will Genunine most likely XF.

The color looked a little off to me also, but I couldn't fathom how that uniform gray color could come from AT - is that what those implying genuine think? Just curious -
Should be PCGS XF45 plus or minus 5 points, based on my recent submission experiences with Seated halves.

Interesting that some might think the color is off... perhaps it's my stone age image set up. I'll try to get better images. I actually bought this piece because it seemed to have original surfaces. Here is the coin cracked from its holder... PCGS XF45...

Oh, the horror!!! What has happened to the protective plastic?????
7070... enjoy the hunt
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
The obverse I say 40, the reverse I would say 45. The color does look strange like the color of pewter.

I would have guessed.... .well, that is immaterial now.... However, what is inside the O mint mark? Is that just dirt? @lkenefic ... it looks like a die chip... or something...
Cheers, RickO
My grade was EF-40 before I saw the slab label. The dark color also concerned me, it's probably okay.
Pass for me, just don't care for it but if pressed would net grade 40 again because of the color and real wear shown on obverse. Don't go there with soft strike. But happy if you like it.
Well, just Love coins, period.
