Those are mighty small images, do you have anything larger? Looks like at least an AU58+.

Guessing low MS grade.

Crappy images I know. Those are the only images I have.
Probably a touch of rub, plus flashy, not toned so should grade around the same. With their certification number images will come up.
You mean NGC may already have images?

Thanks logger7. NGC does have the images. The NGC images look horrific!
NGC says images are copyrighted.
The NGC cert # is 4328271-007 if anyone knows how to load the NGC image.
Mine has a 55 CAC.
Probably a long time ago because I've had it for years.

I agree glaring images like apocalypse now.
AU58. I think too many lines for an unc grade. And maybe "too white" to be a 58+. Nice coin.
It's really bucking the odds to expect PCGS to Mint State any NGC bust half graded AU in the past 13 years.
Yes, they sure are awful. I couldn't possibly GTG.
Lance.
...you got balls posting this before potentially being reviewed...OCD + an MLB-type superstition would keep me silent like I had laryngitis till results popped. Awesome Coin and I'll guess MS62...I would have cracked her and snuck her in the middle of a multiple coin sub full of MS coins
Very hard to judge from the small pictures... the subsequent large pictures seem to indicate you may get a 55....Though in hand, the coin may remain a 58... Cheers, RickO
My wife tells me the same thing.
I realize I am poking the bear. But the luster is booming (think 1881-S Morgan luster). In hand the coin really pops like a mofo. I agree with your MS62 grade. I see it as a shot MS62 for luster bomb / eye appeal bumps but expect it will AU58+ .
It could get slammed to AU53 since I have no minimum grade with PCGS crossover.
Can't wait to compare the PCGS Trueviews to the NGC images now posted.
I would grade it AU53 looking at the larger NGC images myself.
WOW! 250 in 58! Sure does make Barber Half's that more appealing grade rarity wise since at the moment PCGS has only graded 2331 Barber Half's for the entire series in 58 and the NGC Pop's I'm pretty sure are lower(but I haven't looked!) I bet 1/2 the NGC's aren't in their original holders which is also probably true for Bust Half's.
Edit to add...PCGS has graded 5822 Capped Bust Half's in 58!
Yea, but the bust half actually looks like a woman.
Albeit Mighty Heafty!
In all the right places!!
I grade 55/58 depending on how obvious the wear is that i see in the ngc photo on the bust
It is a coin that is going to have to be seen in hand. The photos are just not good enough to make a firm call. My gut feeling is that it will grade less than 58.
58 to 62 imho.
I see Anna Williams in this months copy of Coin World. She's quite the striking woman, a school teacher. She posed for the Morgan Dollar.
Miss or Mrs. Busty is a Grandma! If I was in a bar a few drinks under the belt or not...If I had my choice Miss Barber would be the one to go home with me!
Well..... What is the verdict?? Cheers, RickO
I could see it going 62, I would be surprised to see it go below 58
Nice coin!

Still in the PCGS grading room. No grading results yet.
58 again would be my guess. It does have some serious luster but wear is wear.
I'll be the contrarian and guess DNC. Lance's photo makes it look like a coin I would not want as a 58. But photos can be deceiving.

@fivecents said, "Sent it in a couple of weeks ago for cross over at any grade."
cross at au-55?
I guess what I am saying is that, from the photo, I don't think it will straight-grade. By cross at any grade, does that include AU details, cleaned? Or does it mean any straight grade? If you mean to include AU details, cleaned, then I stand corrected.
Again, I hope I'm wrong, photos can be deceiving, and the coin is very flashy, it's just not for me.
Tom
does that include AU details, cleaned? Or does it mean any straight grade?
No, does not include Details ......Yes, straight grade only.
Forum mates correct me if I am wrong.
If you request the Crossover service and write "Details" under the Minimum Grade column then PCGS has permission to take a numerically graded coin and place it into a graded numeric or no-grade details holder. However, if you write "Any" in this column then PCGS will only cross at any numerical grade.

What TomB said....I wrote "Any".
I agree with TPRC going by the NGC images.
55.

I think it'a about 50/50 between 55+ and 58.
Has a lot of flash though.
Maybe too much.......not that I am hammering the coin by any means.
Looks 58 to me?
Stunner!
Wonder when NGC is gonna up their game in the photography...
55 or DNC
Majority of the forum seems to be in the AU55 or lower camp.
Here are my submission details.

Good luck.

Coin should be graded by the end of this week or early next week.
Anyone else want to guess the future PCGS grade?
Don't worry about poo pooing the coin if you don't like it. It won't bother me one bit. I would like some honest opinions no matter how harsh.
Agree. There are certainly some details which suggest a higher grade might be in order, but I would try focus on the attributes which NGC relied on in giving it the designated grade. The photos don't help.
55
Like Lance said, he could not grade this coin by the NGC pictures. From those pictures, I would expect PCGS 55, IF it grades at all.
PCGS will give it an AU55, based upon that they normally seem to knock down a competitors grade by a notch.

I can confidently say it will either be lower, higher or equal to AU-58. Or maybe a details grade. Any other possibilities?
Though gut feeling says AU-55+ or 58.

Still waiting for the grading results.
Isn't that terrible...waiting? ...and the old wore out, scripted line from CS "it should be done at the end of the week."
