That was interesting. I didn't do too well on the gold though.

interesting and informative
i was too conservative
A worthwhile video, thanks for posting.
Great post---I enjoyed it. I was way off on the Peace dollar
That was cool thanks for the post, missed one of the gold
I was just below on the two gold (I tend to be critical), but spot on the grade for the last two. Interesting video... I enjoyed that. Cheers, RickO
This should tell you all the difference between "real" grades by normal collectors (too conservative) and the "market grading" practiced by the TPGS.
Let me add that if I were ever lucky enough to work at a TPGS, I should need to grade virtually every Uncirculated coin at least a grade higher than my personal opinion, ignore sliders and grade them 61 or 62 (UNLESS their was a big price jump as the 84-S $1) , loose my microscope and hand lens, pay more attention to eye-appeal, and don't be too critical about marks that are not major.
Case in point, there is a thread somewhere on a forum where most posters think the MS-67 + w/CAC sticker 25c is over graded due to the number and location of marks.
Good video and informative. I don't agree with the Peace dollar though, especially that it is 'high end' for a 65. The marks in the hair are too distracting and don't look like strike weakness to me. I have 64's that are in better shape than that one. Like most of the other posts so far I guess I am a bit old school in my grading which tends to be more conservative.
Grading is an art and beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
