Sure looks 65 clean to me. Angled shots are not the best for telling exactly. It's a common date for sure, 81-S is a very affordable coin in nice condition so I guess it depends on your reasoning for submitting. Re-sale or preservation?
Based on those images, I would say slabbing for preservation would certainly be a good idea... either from a TPG or your own slab....surfaces look good with just a couple of minor issues. Would be interesting to see the grade given.... Cheers, RickO
Surfaces look quite exceptional to me, I'd see it as 65 or above pretty easily. Though it's not my series (at all), I don't see anything that causes me concern about the surfaces...but I'd certainly consider the opinions of some of those who replied before me with more weight than my own opinion.

It may well be the lighting, but if the coin looks like that in hand, the surfaces have been played with.
Yes. I'd say its at least MS65 unless I'm missing something. Make sure their are no cleaning hairlines.

Luster? Not the way they look, especially the date/mm.
I'm with airplanenut on this one; either the lighting or the angle are funky enough to make the piece look wrong.

These are called cartwheels for a reason.
A coin as spotless as this should have light bouncing off it
unless it is either overdipped and lost its luster, or the coin
has been boinked.
Coins are sometimes shot under hoods or lampshades to diffuse the lighting.
Unless this is the case I see problems.

Not sure that it has original surfaces, but it is nice to look at.
