It has wear, for sure. Definite flatness to the hip......and it has some "Cheeky Rub", obversely speaking.

The coin appears to full luster although it's subdued. There is a rub on the Indian's cheek, jaw and hair so my vote was AU-58. It has a couple of spots, but since they are not in focal areas and the coin is not Mint State, they do not affect the grade.

The white high points (horn included) appear as rub. Still, it could just be toning breaks. Would not be surprised with anything from 55 to 62. High points like buff's belly, hip, shoulder + Indian's cheek in a way, all look rounded.

Weak strike or 45. Good luck. Wish I had one.

    Here's my AU50...I thin yours is a 53.

It looks like it spent a few days in circulation. The two black spots on the obverse, while not too bad, are bad enough to drop it to an AU53 rather than AU55.

I'll go 62 as I can't say for sure I see any rub. Great looking piece I might add :)

All I know is that whenever I slabbed a 3-legger, it came back way overgraded.

More rub than a 58 warrants, IMO.

Graded MS62, four got it before I posted this. Admittedly when I sent it in I thought it was a 58, along with 30% of the votes here.
I have a hard time with buffaloes, especially when the strike isn't all there.
