Are US coins cheaper in Australia? Just curious.
Those are some nice grades on the CC's

    Not too horrible results.

The PL and DMPL standards have really changed IMO. Frosty devices are a part of it but the fields need to be mirror like for the graders to even consider either and then there's the reverse. Where a reverse can only hurt a mint state coin's grade on a PL or DMPL it can be the deciding factor.

If you do what you always did, you get what you always got.

    Looks good!

Surprised to hear that US coins are bopping around Australia....but then again, I guess I really shouldn't be surprised. Why wouldn't they if you can buy Aussie coins in the US?? ;)

Must be fun being maybe 1 in 100 in the crowd who can cherry pick the best of the US coins. ;)

DollarAfterDollar - thank you very much for the info on PL and DMPL, very helpful to someone like myself who is unfamiliar with the standards.

    All the best,

Very nice.... You have done well.... PL and DMPL are not easy to find, and many that 'seem' to be, will not make the grade... Cheers, RickO

Criteria for pl/dmpl have gotten stricter, and cartwheel coins are not pl though they may look so. Eye appeal sells well though.

The 1881-CC and the 1884-CC had some solid mirrors. But now after hearing everyone's explanations, I understand why they did not PL. Great information.

Thanks again for everyone's insight and positive comments. Overall, I am very pleased with these grades as well.

    All the best,

    Rob
