Show me your 1892/93 Columbian Commemoratives

I gotten the Commemorative bug and took a flyer on a RAW and toned 1893 Columbian Commemorative.
Surely overpaid but it looked attractive even from the ratty pictures.
As I patiently await it's arrival, I'd like to see what some other may own.
Any history you can share on the design/mintage etc... would be welcome.

Not very good photos but here are two PL I recently purchased.
Here is another I purchased just yesterday at the Waterloo coin show. It's a real beauty, a lot better in hand but photography isn't my strength.
Nice toning... I am hoping for something similar...
Commems and Early Type
Awesome design and they look good when toned and when prooflike.
Not sure I could capture the color on mine....horrible photographer....but I sure see a LOT of them, including my lowly MS-63, with that distinctive green toning moving in from the rim.
Anyone have a reason for that? Was it the original packaging? (If so, what was it?)
I bought two PL examples In ( 92 in a SEGS 63PL and the 93 in a NGC 63PL) holders and cracked them to PCGS 64 and 62 respectively and had them put in a double holder

Getting ready to send mine in. Here is my 1892.
Man... those are cool.
Just got another toner.
Think that I averaged out pretty well.
Cannot wait for them to be in hand. Hopefully worthy of submitting to our host.
This is one of mine.
This is only graded MS-63. I think that it is better. It was "tried" twice back in the 1990s.
This is kinda related!
Always a popular issue!

Where did you ever find that? I'm envious. I like dies!

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I also have Isabella quarter and expo tickets somewhere.
Not as pretty as the rest, but the only comm. I own.

Some nice halves here.... and to think I would occasionally get one of these in payment on my paper route as a kid....Cheers, RickO
Just picked this up a couple weeks back...

I also own this one just because I like how it looked circulated... It came in this old envelope.

The start of commemorative series although some say the 1848 CAL Qtr Eagle is the first commemorative. On 1848 CAL I disagree.

Once upon a time I owned these. The 1892 holder was scuffed on the reverse side, over the globe. I regret selling the 1893.

Got Coin #1.
At first glance, to my limited knowledge it looks all natural toning.
In natural light...
Obverse is a non obnoxious Heavy Blue-Green Obverse Rim Toning.
Reverse is a soft blue throughout the fields and globe. Hints of yellow rim tones.
I will get a better chance to see it later.
It's certainly worthy of me breaking out the camera.
A belt and a ???
That is amazing! Love that piece. First time I've seen dies cancelled like that.
I never got around to using my admission ticket. Too bad. I would have enjoyed attending the exposition. I heard they had that newfangled electricity and stuff there.
(Actually, this was a recent eBay impulse buy, for five and half bucks, just... because.)
