67 is the floor with 67+ the most probable grade. Terrific coin. Wonder what it looks like next to a 68
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
67; why cant I find a nice 37D for my set :'(
Certainly looks like a 67.... Cheers, RickO
Thank you, everyone, for your comments and thoughts. I felt PCGS was a bit tough with this as I thought it was an easy MS67 or MS67+. There are no hidden marks and the luster is all there. PCGS called this MS66.
I think that you should resubmit it. I like the coin as a 67 or 67+ and thought that maybe the strike was a little weak........but most of the MS67-68 coins in CoinFacts seem to have no better strike. Definitely better than a 66.

Stunning piece. I would have gone 66, in part by bias that 67 is out of my usual sand lot. It has the 'intangible' I think is needed to push something to that uber grade, but on technical side I can see strike and darker appearance in truview holding it to 66.

It's easy to post a grade after the fact. I agree with the 67 crowd. The coin is well struck and shows top notch detail. Guess I have to say it was from the spots.
Great coin.

Yes. Beautiful coin. I agree that a resubmit is in order with color that vivid and consistent.
I said 67 initially, and I still say 67.... that is well worth a crack and resubmit.....You could try reconsideration, that works sometimes...maybe first, then the crack and resub.... Cheers, RickO
I don't think the $32.5k price guide value versus $3.5k for MS67+ helps.
I think that's a great coin, are you happy with the grade ?

Bad transactions with : nobody to date
I'm happy with the coin, but not the assigned grade.
Not sure what to do about that, others here will probably offer good advice

It is a very nice coin

It's a great coin. Looks like 67 figured it would grade a 66 since they're unusually tough on buffs. The two carbon spots on the reverse likely prevented the 67 unless I'm missing something. Perhaps the tail not being completely "on top of" the buffalo?
Very nice, I'm glad you're happy with your coin. I'm happy you shared it with us!! Thank you.
Be nice if it did catch that 67 though.
These things are carbon spots right?
Oh yeah for sure it's fantastic. I'm not knocking it at all. I'd love to have it and am envious of OP. Gorgeous stunner.
Compare your ms66 to this 1913 type one buffalo nickel that is graded ms66 by our host !!
I could never understand the grade on this one. It has been going round n round on flea bay forever.
Your coin deserves and ms67 grade.

@BUFFNIXX ....Wow.... I would never consider that a 66.... Cheers, RickO
