Express Submission Turnaround?
I splurged and submitted using the Express service for a single coin. PCGS received it 13 business days ago and the estimate was 8 days. I spent the extra money after recent horror stories of
long waits using regular or economy.
This was a crossover submission with secure
plus.
What have your recent express turnaround times been?

I'm on day 10 myself...
question. If the estimated time goes way over, (as the numerous recent threads suggest) do they refund the difference between eco. And express? Or just say they are estimated times?

Did our host get rid of the webpage that shows estimated turnaround time?
my last economy sub took 65 business days (3 months and 1 week on the calendar)
I hope your Red didn't turn to Brown while sitting on a shelf.
My last economy was relatively fast, roughly 5 calendar weeks recently. A dealer I spoke with had a 3 day result on an express with good grades.
I have one Regular submission of 11 coins that is now in business day 60. (Logged in 1/30)
I also have an Express submission of 8 coins in business day 29. (Logged in 3/15)
First in, first out really works.

Nope. They did away with that years ago. Now, it is just an estimate. No guarantee on the time.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Dear PCGS,
Here is an idea that you should consider adopting ...
(I dont think anything like this currently exists, but I could be wrong)
For each Service Level:
1. Express
2. Regular
3. Economy
have a "Submission Status Table" (one for each service level), which is publicly view-able by anyone interested that shows:
1. Submission Number
2. Number of Coins
3. Date of Check In
4. Date of Completion
You can color code the last column to show if subs are completed (green) or pending (red). This can actually be checked periodically by not only your esteemed customers (to help them know roughly how they are moving up in queue and when their subs might be completed) -- but also by your grading teams looking for subs that are unusually late.

My last 5 express:
Received, Shipped
3/22, 3/28
3/22, 3/31
3/22, 3/31
3/30, 4/14
4/3, 4/12
Regarding raw submissions vs. crossovers, I submitted two orders simultaneously, with the same number and type of coins in each (both Regular); one was raw coins, the other crossovers. The raw order was shipped back almost exactly three weeks later, the crossover order is still pending at just over five weeks.
Similar to you, I submitted a single coin for crossover, but had it under the Regular tier. It was received April 10 and shipped out today, but I had the grade already last week.

Wow! Those times are u-n-a-c-c-e-p-t-a-b-l-e!!!
Patience is a virtue.....not commonly found among coin people....
Cheers, RickO
I think waiting over 60 business days (3 calendar months) on a submission with an estimated turnaround time of 20 days is showing a measure of patience.
