There always seem to be fake coins , silver, and gold on E. Bay.
Or is it just me ??

Nope. It's not just you. It could be a full time job reporting them. That's an idea. Maybe eBay should employ a crew to do just that. Spot and remove fakes. But that would cost them fees so I doubt it will happen.

If you want real coins on ebay then make a relationship with honest ebay sellers as most of them are. If you buy coins from a select group of ebay sellers (that you have done business with in the past) you will be just fine. There are crooks in society and you find them in every venue. There are also people who do not know what they have and sell what they think they have.

Very well said! When you try to rip a deal...the opposite often occurs.

Fakes, cleaned, overgraded, and misrepresented coins. But there are also plenty of nice ones to be found, just have to wade through the crap sometimes.

I agree that there are dealers that not that great, however they go buy the way side soon.
On ebay they number more and more scammers. Some only change their ID and continue on.
Also some buyers look for fake gold and silver and then go pawn shops. coin shops, flee markets and coin shows trying to sell them as the real thing.
