I know that's absolutely absurd. Send to auction or the big bullion houses at least.

It's more fun when there might be a penalty involved. Like sneak in to strip joint or a Casino/Blackjack table underage.

These are mostly easy to put a dollar number on, with the GSAs and $20 pieces grades will be critical. Would like to see images of those.

should be certs with most of them to identify contents. No cert, very little if any value.

@TurboSnail post pics of what you manage to snag!

GSAs, OBW rolls, Seated, Walkers. Anything old and Colorado-focused, CO nationals.

Gonna get me a $50 Octagonal someday. Some. Day.

Wish I could make it to Long Island, but that's a little far from Colorado.

I gotta say - it's dumb to sell gold and platinum at a yard sale - insufficient security.

I read your initial post to mean you had empty OGP (no coins). If empty, OGP is worth less if it does not include the certification paper that came with it.

cool thx~Normally, I would think it would be mission impossible. But judging by the inventory stashed in this house, anything is possible.

Image the grading fees if you sent everything in! THAT would be a fun set of submissions to get back and go through. Sometime blind submissions are the BEST.

Wow... Garage sales near me only have Silver Plated junk, Dirty Kitchen equipment and kids clothes... I've been to coin only auctions that didn't have that kind of inventory to unload... Good luck!!!

it looks like there are 4 silver 100 oz bars - good chunk of change there

Went there this morning, and someone already snatched all the silver bars, platinum and other goodies. There were 6 CC morgan left 1882,1883 and 1884 (6 sets total with Ogp & Coa) and were reserved for $400 each from another buyer. The guy used his cell and let me hear the offer/recording over the voicemail. He told me to take them all for the same price If I wanted to. But I didn't feel comfortable enough to accept the offer due to my lack of morgan understanding etc.

The olympics sets were all gone too except 1993 sets. The $20 gold , not eye appealing to me, were still there so were lot of modern gold eagles. There were 12 sets of 1986-88 Ase proof left untouched some were toned. and I took them all for around $27 each plus a freebie silver. The other dates out of 19+ sets were gone before I even have a chance to see them.

I guess someone in Long Island heard the news yesterday after I post and decided to get a head start.

Those GSA's are worth on average, 200 bucks each. Good thing you passed! They would all have to grade 65 to make them close to even money after grading. Not likely at all.
