I try to avoid Chicago at all costs, I will look into maybe thinking about the possibility of debating whether or not to go. Plus it's about 2-2.5 hours drive.

Are you saying that the 2-2.5 hour drive is positive or negative?

I could handle the flight time of 2-2.5 hours, just not the last minute flight expense...lack of timing on my part.

A negative at the moment.. I have been doing a lot of driving on my weekends lately. If I do go it will just be on Saturday.

Even though the Show is literally 25 Min. away from my front door, I'll be passing on this one. No Parking (too expensive) and the lack of tables will prevent me from attending. I'm not saying this is a bad and uninteresting show. All I'm saying is I'll be saving my pennies and dimes for the more bigger Show that's coming. The Central States in Schaumburg, Il. Grant it, it is a lot farther from my front door but more to check out and FREE parking. See 'ya there. ;)

I suppose it's in Rosemont again. It's tough to get in and out and the toll road charges non-regulars more than twice as much.

Is there much in the way of U.S. coins and precious metals? It looks really nice but I thought it was more of a world and ancient show. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, I could take the "Orange Line" (CTA), but won't. I'll wait for the Central States Show.

Thank You, Chicago has become kind of a dangerous place, but it's ok as long as you stay in good areas use common sense. I live straight North of the Cultural Center, so I just walk a few blocks on Lakeshore drive and the rest on N Michigan. Its pretty safe.

I moved to the city 35 years ago to go to school and stayed. The area around the Cultural center is pretty (as far as major metro areas go). But I would leave the Rolex at home, not carry a lot of cash, skip the late night walks in the park.

Again thank you for your concern, the city can be dangerous.

Yep, It's sad that people in this new world, don't want to make an honest living. They prefer the lazy and corrupt way. Taking, instead of working for it! :'(

The area where the show is, is called the Loop. Without getting too politcal about it, the Loop is the center of power and influence for the city of Chicago and pretty much for the state outside of our capital of Springfield. In the loop is where the money is made. North of the loop and just South of the loop is where the money lives. North of the loop and Millennium park are where tourists and foreign money goes. The loop area is safe and probably safer than most big cities because some might argue a disproportionate amount of our cities resources go to keeping it that way.

Yes, the second prior poster (a fellow Chicago brother) is absolutely correct! Downtown Chicago is, for one thing, Beautiful!!! and yes, safe, like mentioned. but nowadays, in today's evil world, nowhere is 100% safe. ;)

I agree the loop is definitely safe for a big city. The areas North of the Loop along the lake are safe also, Mag Mile, Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, and Buena Park are all good areas. But Chicago is still a Big City with Big City Problems. There is a lot less crime in the good neighborhoods but it still occurs. I love living in Chicago, but like all big cities, you stay out of trouble by using common sense. It might be safe flash a big bankroll or, walk down an alley, or through the park at 2am in a lot of towns, but it is a bad idea in Chicago. I do think the Cultural Center is a great location for a show.

Actually, I don't disagree with you. We started with the idea of having a simple little icon of some kind to illustrate that we ship everything overnight, ended up with this graphic instead and then rode it like a rented mule.
