Pulled this one from the bottom of my SDB and had pretty much forgotten about it. Got it from Frank "the pug" Chiong (FC57Coin) RIP back in July 2004 at the Alabama Show. I suspect that is why I kept it as I dumped my Morgans years ago.

On occasion I will pull the trigger on a type coin that speaks to me. This one spoke to me at the GNA show in April 2014. The colors are more vibrant in hand but I think this one might be one that got past PCGS. Market Acceptable since it is now in plastic. ;)

    Hello JJSingleton; On my screen, the colors make for a spectacular seated dollar. I rarely see one that isn't dipped out or just plain dull. But you say the colors are more vibrant in hand. So, when you say "got past", I wonder if you are commenting on the color or the possibility that this is an AU-58 .. or both?

    I am a southern gold guy so I do not know all I should about seated dollars. The toning as it lays on the coin looks natural enough to me but the colors just catch me as off. Although not on my radar screen, I have not seen one similar. The coin did not CAC and I attribute it to the color more than the technical grade as it looks like a solid 64 to me. I did not however ask JA as I had a couple of other coins that needed explanations and I was in a hurry to get out of there.
