That's a very high percentage but what is the point of getting a green sticker on an AU58 1909 Lincoln, a 91 Morgan in AU58 or an 84-O in 62? Is the latter beautifully toned?
Congrats on the gold bean!

there was no financial incentive to submitting these coins. We always hear that some Rattlers were undergraded....just comparing my eye with the pros for my personal entertainment

Congrats on the gold bean!
The dimes are 20 or 30 bucks, the half is less than $20, the penny is less than $20, the gold is worth melt, and the Morgans are between $40 and $70. (On eBay)
People always try to second guess a collector and TELL that person what they should/shouldn't do.
I think MANY of us "collectors" enjoy doing some things that others wouldn't do, or would find strange to do.
Submitting cheap coins to PCGS. Submitting cheap coins to CAC.
Collecting plastic rather than just the coin.
Collecting samples.
Collecting....OMG!.....coins by OVERTON numbers!!!
I wish, I really honestly do wish, that people could have threads like this without others commenting and questioning coins that get submitted that aren't worth (pick an amount.... $50/$100/$500/$1000) an amount that is "worthy" in their eyes...or a grade that is "worth it" in their eyes.
For some of us, it is just plain fun and/or educational and we WANT TO DO IT WITH OUR OWN MONEY.
The little buttinskis and their having to toss in comments like this are part of the major reason that I consciously made a decision to stop sharing submission results. It used to be fun. Now, you always get these people that want to question every little choice made by someone else.
to the OP....good job and it sounds like you got the "fun" or "education" out of it you were looking for.
Did you, by chance, find out why the 2 items didn't sticker? JA is usually good about that if asked ahead of time to comment on any that don't sticker.
Just wondering about the gold, in particular. (ie...was it more rub than he liked for AU58 or maybe something on the coin? Did you suspect it would or wouldn't grade when you chose to send it in? Gold is something I am still learning so am always curious about things like this for the educational reasons)
Honestly I think we do this too much.
All the time I hear how we as a group put down peoples purchases.
I think as Numismatists we should stop doing this as it hurts our hobby.
Can you imagine any other hobby doing that...."Oh you don't want to buy Colt 45's you want 22's", or "you spent $1 too much for your Pandora Charm"

He could have been hoping for gold on those.
@CascadeChris
I suppose the same is true of the dimes, one of which did get a gold.

Well done... and a nice score on the '39 Merc.... Cheers, RickO

Sure seems like a strange bunch to send to CAC.
Congratulations!

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Nice job on the stickers. Congrats.
Mike
Nice eye. And don't listen to the haters. Bochiman is spot on. Do what you want. Someone's $40 coin is somebody else's $4000 coin. It's all relative.
