Not sure if Andy (Griffith) was a collector or not...but he sure schooled Barney (Don Knotts). No literal dancing, but there is the NC Two-Step. I heard that Andy could "cut the rug".

I never knew that Danny Kay was a collector. Do you have any idea what he collected?

You have admire anyone who could keep up with Vera Ellen on the dance floor.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

If I recall correctly, quite a few of the extant PCGS Regency holder coins are Danny Kaye coins from Israel. Also, isn't Kareem Abdul-Jabbar a member of the CCAC?

Correct, over 300, 5 Lirot Israeli coins were slabbed in the regency holders. I have owned three or four over the years.

Buddy Ebsen was also a noted coin collector.... I lived close to him in California for a couple of years... saw him, never actually met him.... Cheers, RickO

I guess you missed out on granny's opossum stew then. Too bad.

Don't forget Bruce McNall who bought #99 from Pocklington.

Or maybe we should forget Bruce.

I distinctly remember one episode, an early B&W one.
Drysdale is wooing Clampett and enjoying Granny's stew when Ebsen says something like: "I always thought possum innards was better the second day" and then camera cuts to Drysdale.
    Classic.
Ebsen was born I think in Belleville, IL where I spent some of my childhood.
