How many times per day do you "hit" your favorite eBay search?

I'm averaging about 30X/day - that's if I'm at work!
There's something manic about on line coin searching - you just can't find enough fast enough!

About once a day.
Gonna get me a $50 Octagonal someday. Some. Day.
I used to be once a day. Ebay has gotten so bad in recent years that I'm down to once a week.
Haha, usually once a week. Might miss the underpriced buy it now listings, but usually find the auctions that way.

A couple of times.
Wow - slackers!
I have the email alerts too but they are typically worthless and slow. Too much key word spamming.
Okay, how about a poll:
Which do you check more?
I can identify with this. All the time, the search is different seasonally almost. But I am always Variety hunting, registry hunting, and looking for stupid deals like pcgs first Strike ms69 silver eagles for $22 & $23.

2 or 3 times a week
I also miss the eBay wildcard character (i.e. "*").
5-10 per day
Probably 3 or 4 times a day that I'm aware of. I'm sure I do it subconsciously way more than that.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
5-10 per day, also. When a good BIN pops up, you gotta be ready!

Never.... I go to ebay maybe 3 times a month, and then to look for something specific (may not even be a coin)... Cheers, RickO

My search is very broad, so I do it twice a day, and look through about 400 coins each time.
I like BarberFanatics gif better, but my F5 is there, just about worn off;

Who is Dan Carr and how does he even relate to this post?

Dan Carr makes fake coins......and as you can see I was answering Zoins questions.
Dan Carr is a member on these forums, @dcarr, and his website lists his privately made overstruck coins and medals which can be added at any time. They are posted here and some sell out very shortly. There is a group of collectors on this forum that monitors his site for new releases, posts about them, and then acquires them. This has happened a few times recently the comparison made sense for those checking sites multiple times a day.
Im with you 20-30x a day... however many times I pick up my phone
You can indeed score some deals on there if you search enough...

Thanks guys. Didn't mean to jump into the middle of your @dcarr debate. I'll get back to my popcorn now.

Back to the OP ... I have five or six eBay searches that I consistently hit 3-4 times per day -- usually once in the morning and 2-3 times in the evening as I can't access it at work. Coincidentally, one paid off for me yesterday evening when I bought a token on a BIN at about 25% of market value. I even had to the courage to make a lower offer and the patience to wait for the seller's reply. Fortunately, he was quick and I got the item!

Where do you all find all of the free time?
+1
The most important search once a day, like clockwork. A have a few more esoteric searches where eBay will email me notices once a day if they hit.

I probably average just over once a day.
To the OP. I hope you are self employed
Couple of times a week at most.
I check eBay a few times per year.
I used to do it many times per day, but for the last couple of years I do maybe 10 times a year.
I do still get emails on 3 of my saved searches if there are new listings that match.
I thought I was excessive at 2-3 times a week!
Wow, some of you guys need to get a life outside of coins!

Yep - sit in a dark room by myself for 10 hours/day reading CT/MRI/US exams - when caught up, it provides 10-20 seconds of brain cramp relief.
Those 30 searches take about 5 minutes/day total.
Now I know I'm old..............I have no favorite ebay , or ebay 'search', or "hit" button, but I am still learning

Probably a few times a week. My ebay searches vary - in terms of coins I have a saved search string (ANACS, ICG, NGC, PCGS, PMG) and then whatever I am searching. I also search Model RR items as I am active in selling that.
as many as it takes to run out of money.
I save my searches in a folder on my favorites toolbar. No matter what web page I'm on, 2 clicks and I'm there.

I hear ya! I'm retired too and love it. Finding Dime varieties is my job now!

By definition, it's a dime, issued by the US Gobermint!
I knew it would happen.
