Can you tell me what you know about slab protection sleeves?

I know it seems like overkill but over time and even with careful handling slabs get scuffed up.
Can you tell what dimension sleeve to get and maybe a certain thickness?
I doubt it, but is a certain brand preferred?

I use a little ziplock sleeve with this on it:
"Write-On Parts Bag"

Style #47235

I know certain types just add to the problem, small hairlines on the slab when their removed for imaging had to be buffed out.
Thanks Bryce.
I've used these for years.
Lance.
Great set up @lkeigwin!
I've been wondering what people do when slabs don't come with top readable inserts.
That is really smart!

I have been using the Armored Brand protectors that Wizard Coin Supply sells very inexpensively. The seggested retail is $1.49 for 100, but Wizard sells them for less than that. The fit is smug, and sometimes I stretch a new protector by slipping an NGC slab in first. The PCGS slabs are tougher to get into the bag because of the little stacking bars that are at the corners. Maybe it's me, but I have not seen any hairlines passed to the slabs from these devices.
The new PCGS slabs are too thick for the Armored Brand protectors. Of late I have used the larger plastic bags with zip lock seal at the end for them. I would think that new thicker slab protectors will be offered at some point.
BillJones - here ya go. These work fine with the latest generation PCGS holders. Ultra Pro # 81380.

Transline Coin Supply also just introduced these, from Guardhhouse:

I use UltraPro Team Bags and UltraPro Graded Card Sleeves with resealable tops. Each tend to be "oversized" for slabs, both accommodate slabs of various sizes. The resealable top allows you to adjust their size, somewhat. While not as clean as Lance's solution above, I have more than PCGS and NGC slabs that I want to protect in sleeves/bags.
The Graded Card Sleeves work well with larger "vintage" slabs.

I guess I do not handle my slabs enough. Mine are stored in the slotted boxes and I do not stack them.... Some do have scratches that were there when I received them..... One has a big crack in it right over the cent... which I will not replace since it is a 'Charmy' coin...
Cheers, RickO
Hobby lobby has little zip lock bags used for beads (for jewelry making) that work perfectly for me. I usually trim off the ziplock portion to allow slab "breathing".
