My 1864 "L" Indian Cent...
I had this for a long time, I'm thinking of selling it tomorrow? Do you think it's too scratched and beat up?
By the way, check out the traditional Longacre Doubling.

It's the "Pointed".

I don't see the "L"...is it a "pointed" or "rounded" bust?

Do you have full-coin pictures, oriented properly?
It's hard to judge the coin's condition from clips that are turned in odd ways.
The "L" doesn't appear in the OP photos.
Lance.
Just to let you guys know. I just sold it at the Tinley Show. I only was asking for $20 and I got it. In pretty bad shape. Scratches and the "L" was very hard to detect even though the pointed bust was clear.-joey

The "L" is not that hard to see once you know how to look for it with a 10X glass.
That's just it, the L on my coin wasn't visible. The only reason the Dealer bought it from me is because he at least can detect a "raised metal" portion where the "L" should be.

we were just talking about this the other day. I tend to agree with Bill: since you're paying a premium for the Variety it makes little sense to buy a coin that has the "L" obscured or worn away.
