Advice on getting wheats graded

I found this coin while coin hunting and I'm curious on others thoughts as to if I should get this graded and what type of premium I might receive. Even though it's not a double die I'm very proud of my find.

@Pawz1980... Welcome aboard.... That is a nice cent. However, it really is worth about 35 cents .... Unless you just want it preserved, it really is not worth investing in grading/slabbing. You could purchase your own slab and protect it that way. I am sure you will receive other comments. Do not be discouraged, buy a Redbook, it will help you in understanding grading and coin values (although most values in the Redbook are a tad high). The coin market fluctuates and as you learn more about condition, rarity and varieties you will understand. Cheers, RickO
That is a spectacular find to get an uncirculated 1955-D in the wild. However, it is not worth slabbing. You should put it in a 2x2 flip or start an album of cents and keep it in there. Welcome to the forum!
This coin is a great start on a Short set 34 to 58 all very obtainable and quite an impressive set. (to some of us)
Great find in the wild and good trapping. The coin as stated is not a good one to slab from the economic standpoint.

Why don't you pick up an album (like a "Dansco") and begin filling it in? You can probably find a used one for very little cost.
Albums can be a lot of fun and along the way you'll learn quite a bit.
Lance.
Here's my Dansco page that includes this date. All of my Dansco coins were found in the wild and not one was purchased for more than a cent. Of course I started this set 60 years ago. I believe it can still be done today but it would involve buying a lot of bags of wheaties! I found my most recent addition (can't remember the date) about a year ago.

Thank you all for your comment I'm very greatful
Welcome
Very nice find. Keep looking. Half, or more, of the fun is the hunt.
