Wonderful coins with great history don't cost much. Picked this up at the Houston Annual Winter Coin Show yesterday at the VFW Hall in NW Houston for less than it would take to send a raw one of these into a TPG for grading these days. Please post your historical bargains.

Some of those dealer coin envelopes can be quite interesting, Meltdown. I only remember Littleton putting out envelopes like that, and that was back in the mid 1960s.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. Sorry, but my History coin is a foreign one. It's the 1807 Soho Great Britain 1/2 Pence. What a beautiful story behind this foreign Gem. Warning: Big Pictures! By the way, I only paid $9 for this coin!.
These are stamped from steam machines. If interested more, check out the Wikipedia on these coins, great story.
