Anybody remember who made these cool slab pouches?

These are from a long time ago but I'd like to get a few more.

They are a soft foam material and the flap is secured shut with a small piece of velcro.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Mmmmm... not sure but now that you mention it that seems sort of familiar.

I've got one but do not remember who I got it from. I had bought a coin and it was mailed to me in the holder. My holder is very close to yours, but the material seems to have a different cut.

cointime, years ago (like 10 or 15) I had an abundance of these. When I sold a coin on eBay I'd ship it in these as a little bonus. Maybe you bought a coin from me?

They were offered by former forum member Mark Glicker handle Mglicker. He used to ship coins in them from his eBay sales. No longer available unless you can find someone who still has some.

For awhile, Russ was selling them....I believe he called them "Slab Caddies"

I have about six of them . . . I believe I got them holding coins I bought from some of Jeremy's (airplanenut) auctions . .

They are great . . . I use them for my NGC Black, and a few killer toners . .

IIRC the slab caddy was different that the OPs' picture as I bought one or two from Russ. I thought it had a zipper.

I have one of the OP's pouches as well - and would love to buy more.

NOW I remember! The Slab Caddy name brought it all back. Thanks to everyone. If only Russ was around. :(

Now if I can just get a hold of Glicker to see if he possibly has any....... :|

Yes. The ones from Russ were/are different and held/hold more than one slab. The flag ones were an exclusive from Mark Glicker IIRC.

I asked him long ago about more and he said no maas. He could likely resurrect them if you want 10,000 or more.

The ones from Russ, the slab caddy. Are black and have a zipper that holds 2 slabs. Kind of like a mini briefcase. I have a couple of them.

The ones in the OP's picture were made on a serger. This type of machine does the sewing and the cutting in one operation. To somebody who knows how to work one, it's about 10s worth of work. You would serge the top flap, fold it over and serge the two sides. You don't even turn it inside out. Tacking on the bit of Velcro is another few seconds.

Now to do it efficiently and cheap enough would take a large order.

I got one with a coin I paid way too much for because I was pretty sure it was a rare variety. It wasn't, and I lost one-third the price when I resold it. Now use it to hold my coin money as a reminder to be more careful in the future.

Russ sold a lot of these. A few dealers were even buying them to send coins out in. I still have a few.

I got mine from CoinFame when he was still out of Alaska and sent coins out in them till I ran out of them on eBay.
BTW Russ's were not the one in the OP.
