I remember that years ago a new poster appeared on the Forums and was a prolific, nay manic, poster and very enthusiastic about coins and the hobby. For about 7-10 days.
Then poof, she disappeared, never to post again. I do not think she was banned, she just left and went elsewhere. During her time posting she revealed she was struggling with addiction and being a lady of the evening. To this day I hope that she was able to get her life straightened out.

Yep. Way obvious it was an alt.....it even had referred to events from awhile ago....as if they were here at the time. And, being as mouthy as it was, the banning was a long time coming. Likely because of calling CAC names in a thread the other day.
That, combined with so many posts that went over the line, are likely why the banning happened now. I noticed, earlier this morning, that a number of its posts had been reported as Abuse. Any admin looking at those, given the types of posts the person was making, would probably add them all up and then ban.
I didn't go look and see WHICH posts had been flagged and marked as abuse, but from the posts I saw in threads, it isn't doesn't take any stretch of the imagination I wouldn't think...
Hmmm...without looking around and not following "her"???? Posts. I thought it was interesting he or she was boosting Laura Sperber. Does that give any validity to anything???
People who are straight-up ignorant and abusive don't really bother anyone. They're discounted out of hand. It's the ones who post a few valuable things, ehibit some actual acumen, but just can't help but exhibiting sociopathic behavior that really irritate. Just like with coins, only the really good counterfeits are dangerous.
I am at a loss for words as to why that person ranted over and over again about my FUN show thread. He was like a dog with a bone and just wouldn't let it go. I think he just wanted to create controversy for the drama and attention. Kind of reminds me of the days when BNB was on the boards!

No, but I betcha Laura made it right and ate the cost of Legend's mistake.
IMO, Laura is the most "stand-up" lady in the biz, heads and shoulders above all the others in terms of knowledge, business acumen and common sense. She stands as a pillar of integrity in the biz, crusades against the disgusting coin doctors and is an asset to the industry. You will never see a show report from her that looks like a travelog as she is strictly biz and a tad "earthy" (in a good sense).
I sure wish she was back posting here - it would be a breath of fresh air in a musty room!

My recollection is that Legend hired an attorney to try to coerce the buyer into returning the coin. I wonder what happened. Although it would have been nice if the buyer returned it, I don't think he or she was legally obligated to return it. Equitable rescission (at least in my jurisdiction) requires that the party seeking cancellation acted reasonably. There were simply too many errors that occurred along too many steps of the way when it should have been caught IMHO. I don't think Legend had much of a choice but to eat it or pay thousands in attorney's fees throwing good money after bad unless the buyer caved.
The persistence of his [sic] rants in Charmy's thread was bizarre. My thoughts were that he was either having a manic episode and/or was deliberately pulling our chain.

I did not read his comments but I am not a fan of Charmy's posts.

I will agree with what you say, but Yorkshireman has a right to his opinion as well. I am sure that more than just him have similar views but either skip over the thread or keep it to themselves.
He said nothing wrong and he is certainly entitled to his viewpoint - as are you (and others).
The amount of time I spent in the futile attempt to explain how dealers often DO make 5 bucks on an ounce bullion coin told me that the poster was either stupid or incredibly dense.
