Don't you hate it when your coins arrive frozen within the PCGS slab Pics Added now that it thawed

Just got a coin today. Below zero temps cause the slabs to fog up until the temp adjusts inside. Never seems to hurt them, but can't be good either. Also makes you wait to look at them!

To prevent that just bring the package inside and not open it until it's reached room temp. Let it sit for an hour.
But we all know the anticipation of a newp can be overwhelming.

What ms70 said. Whenever I receive a package during the colder months, it immediately goes into a ziploc bag to warm up. Similar thing with coin shows- always bring a few little ziploc bags for possible purchases.

Nice coin, by the way. :)

Fogged up on the outside or condensation inside the slab?

It seems they fog up on the outside. You can get your new coin, wipe it off for a quick peak before it fogs up again. A lot like the mirror in the bathroom after a shower.

It is 5 degrees here this morning... coins would be in a block of ice. Take a hair dryer to the slabs... it will normalize quickly.... Cheers, RickO

Depending on the humidity and how well insulated the package is, it may.

Wow, never thought about that...but I have had the issue with camera lenses fogging up due to humidity here in FL. Supposed to be about 82 degrees here this weekend. :)

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.
