To me the first one is more eye appealing.
For me, easily #1, especially because of the reverse. I know that "tab toning" is quite popular, but it's just not attractive.

Both nice and although the second has typical tab holder toning for the issue the first captures the eye.
The obverse/reverse strike is also better on the first, however that could just be a photography rotation lighting issue.
I like #1 better....just better eye appeal.

1 for me too. Not even close.
Why is my reply so big? Testing, testing.

"Better" is relative in this case.
Number one blows the other one away. This is a no contest.
Edited to add that the toning on number two is a minus not a plus.

Ditto - #1.
1.
Yup. #1
At first I didn't like #1 due to the toning splotches on the head.
Then I saw #2 so now I prefer #1 hands down.
