Here's mine...
The seller posted a few blurry pics of this LG cent, but after a month there were no bidders/ buyers willing to take a chance, so I did, and it turn out to be a very beautiful coin...

Years ago...(1999 I believe).. I bid on a 1995W ASE and lost .... shortly thereafter, I received an email from an individual offering a PCGS 1995W ASE for well below the price I was bidding. He offered to send it to me to evaluate... I said that was generous - he said, "Well, I am an attorney, and if I do not get the coin or payment, I will sue you to death." I laughed, asked him why he was selling... he had some bad luck in the market and had to cover some losses...He sent the coin, it was legit (even had a TruView), I purchased it. He got cash, I saved a bunch... Cheers, RickO
For sheer bang for buck, this was purchased last year for $12, auction format:
For rarity and excitement, it's a toss-up between these two:
1876 Type II/II Business strike, XF details, purchased raw
1876 Type I/I Proof, mis-identified as a PL Business strike, has all the pick-ups of a proof

Great coin. What's the price difference between a PL and a proof?
love that 1918/7-D @mbogoman I could see it even before verifying it @ pcgs.com/cert
Insert witicism here. [ xxx ]
Hard to say (maybe one of the experts could chime in), but there's only about a dozen or so of the Type I/I proofs known to exist. That's probably just slightly less than the number of collectors who collect proof Trade Dollars by die type

1930 FS-103 in a PCGS-65 holder, the same way I got way back when. Took a chance for $195 on a truly bad picture because I was sure it was some kind of DDO.
1916 2-feathers, paid $80 too long ago to remember. Still in the unattributed NGC-64 slab, the same
way it was purchased.
Quite a ways back, I did a buy it now for $499 on this large cent that was in an old PCGS MS-65 BN holder. Pictures made it look dull and lifeless, but I could tell the surfaces looked flawless. In hand it was an explosion of luster and looked better than a 65! Eventually I took advantage of the PCGS quarterly special for the new Secure holder. The coin now sits in a Secure 66 BN holder.

@ElmerFusterpuck... Wow... that is one really nice cent..... great find.... Congratulations. Cheers, Rick)
No offense meant to @ElmerFusterpuck -- but that coin was properly graded at MS65BN.
Great coin, good price, but now overgraded...

a PL coin is a business strike that has proof-like surfaces due to being an early and/or highly polished die state.
a proof coin has highly polished die (and may have some unique characteristics) and the striking is done multiple times to create a mirror and a razor sharp strike. proof coins are struck on proof planchets as well. these are usually polished and may have different rims/edges.
Picked this up for a little over $200 (not graded, and not knowingly sold as a 1911-d)
Picked this up raw for under $250, with terrible pictures not showing the color. Graded it myself as well.
Over one third of my set came from eBay, either directly or indirectly, and I like them all.
Here is just one:
It is one of the few that I've never posted.

No offense taken, but I think you need to see this on in hand. Any scratches you see are on the holder, not the coin.

My comments were based on the strike limited obverse grade (I expect center star detail and full dentils on a coin graded uber-gem MS66). I also don't like the couple obverse carbon spots on an MS66 graded coin.
Don't get me wrong, it's a BEAUTIFUL coin, and I'd be proud to own it in my collection -- I just don't see any justification for the upgrade to MS66BN -- the MS66 or higher grade for a Large Cent is a truly exceptional gem to me, and this one just misses it.

I bought this one maybe 8 years ago. It was a BIN and sat there for weeks and I finally could not take it anymore and had to buy it.
It crossed over to our host at the same grade. The coin has really good frost and deep mirrors.
The coin is actually white like the original photo at the top.

I have had a LOT of luck in the past years landing some real beauties. I still can from time to time but the competition is getting serious these days. Here's one I like a lot I won in a auction not so long ago. Not much of an auction really because I was the only bidder. The combination of poor pics and a weird closing time for any auction, I was the only bidder.
