With only one view of one side of the coin and those colors showing up in that pattern I would say AT regardless of what the slab says.

Just my opinion, but it does not show the color progression that I would expect to see, but I am not 100% that it is AT. Would be interested in seeing the reverse.

I think the reverse lends more credence to NT, but I am still a little curious about the almost total absence of orange brown/orange/red on the obverse. If I had to guess I would say NT.

Thanks @panexpoguy for giving your opinion...

    Questionable to me.
Doesn't look NT, doesn't scream AT....but not a coin I would be interested in.

If you tilt it in the light, what colors show up in the top half of splotches on the obv?
I would think some of the orange and brown are there...maybe a little red and a little green?

I just don't like the plum on the bottom to the point it is there...could have been the holder, but I would have expected a little more on the reverse if it is that heavy on the lower half of the obverse. That's kind of what's bothering me.

It would be QT for me and, again, not one that I like the looks of, personally, so I wouldn't be after it.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    @Bochiman Thanks for your opinion!
Me personally, I believe the coin is NT. The reasons why is because it resembles the spotchiness of over acid bathed Peace Dollars which are NT. The color pattern around the edges around the coin are Orages-Redish and Browns. All tail signs of a NT Peace Dollar. Not a high end Peace Dollar, but natural IMO

It has the appearance of AT for me.... looks like it was dipped, poorly rinsed, and then AT'd..... I did one similar back when I was experimenting with tarnish methods...Cheers, RickO

To me all peace dollars whose colors are questionable are AT. Having it slabbed would help--if it was a coin I was trying to sell. But I wouldn't let it into my collection. I collect coins, not unicorns.

    Gotcha
Although many may not like the toning on that Peace Dollar. Me personally, I don't really care for the toning myself! The question is - Is it NT or AT gentleman :)

Based on the images, and how my Morgan dollars toned in the date set I was compiling years ago, I'd say AT. The spots, IMHO, are what give it away. I think this coin might have been dipped many years ago, and this is what lead to the spotty nature of the toning.

    NT for certain

I would be interested to know how much the "100% AT" and "NT for certain "posts would be willing to bet each other.

I lean towards NT because of the pull-away. The blue looks wrong to me but the progression otherwise seems ok. I'm at about 60/40 NT.

I do not like the color and have had coins with the splotchiness exhibited on this coin come back as AT. I am in the AT crowd.

I say QT, and not a coin for which I'd pay a toning premium, slabbed or not.

    NT

The tone is unattractive and might garner a QT genuine from the top tier TPG.

If someone had artificially colored this coin they would have dipped it and tried again.

I disagree, as it looks attractive to me.

The purple on the lower right obverse field has me thinking it has had some help. Regardless of what the TPG says, I would be reluctant to give much premium. I would have to see in hand before I was even convinced it is UNC.

Looks a bit like this Roosevelt I own. I think the dime is end-of-roll toned but my opinion is only based due to the white reverse.
