  • you own
  • has the name of the state where you were born on it
  • is not a state/coin that has been posted by someone else already

    I keep looking for the perfect Delaware commemorative half dollar, but I have not found it yet. I now have three of them, each with their own charms, but none with the perfect combination of smoothness and luster. This one has great eye appeal, but there are too many marks on the roof of the church.


    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    I was born in Florida.

    I don't own the coin in the picture, but there's a good chance there's one of this type in my change jar at home or the console of my car.

    Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
