By 'monster', I assume you mean tarnished..... nope, do not have any among my extensive Morgan collection. Wait for AuroraBorealis to post...his collection will blow the thread up... Cheers, RickO
Congrats on your extensive non toned Morgan collection, ricko. I checked out the AuroraBorealis collection on NGC and agree, it's second to none, as far as known collections
I always wonder what the rainbow toners are going to look like in 40 years. I just don't remember seeing anything with that color when I first started collecting 40 years ago. Where did all these rainbow coins come from and what will the progression be like once they are put in a holder? Are these coins stable in a holder?
Jinx86, fyi, you have a top-100 VAM there. Not sure which one and I don't have time to check right now but all 79s with a rev of 78 are top-100 "list" VAMs.
Probably my only true monster:
PCGS MS-64 holder right now, but it's definitely going back because I don't know how it is a 64 (black line on the cheek is a shadow from a scratch on the slab).
I happen to have one . . . but it remains in the realm of the Loch Ness Monster . . . Bigfoot . . . and Alien abductions . . . rumored . . . . . . but hard to verify (except to a few of you).
I did find humorous the last 'Legend Auction' where they mentioned the "greatest Morgan toner" of all time . . . . . .

Better store that Burner right.......not too humid, not too dry, no grape seeds, no haggis leftovers, etc....
Interesting . . . after the last local coin show where I did a surreptitious display of the item . . . left it in my pants. Ran it through the washer and dryer . . . . . could not find it in the morning . . . it was in the bottom of the dryer loose in the slab.
Holy cow. Valued (my 'in hand' offer -- at a bit less than my entire home (sorry Legend . . . . . but I can hammer your 'best toner' by a super high percentage -- just as a schmuck at a small time coin show) . . . and I ran it through a low-heat cycle in the dryer !!!!!!!!! Arggggggggggg . . .. . . . .. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But . . . NO DAMAGE .
Apparently the toning is original and intact (not much problem -- it was the choice piece of 4 original Morgan bags). . . .no change at all! "Bag Burn" rules!
Scared me though . . . . .not that I had lost a huge sum . . . . .but that I had ruined the best Morgan toner in history . . . but not one that has seen much beyond a brief soire into the Boards a year ago . . . and it still resides in the Drunner collection.

What is this, a Halloween horror story!
As for monster toned Morgan dollars; well, I have a nicely toned one, but I don't give out the monster term all that often.

And one wild eagle to boot, a three of a kind
Love the Morgans, not so much on the "toned" eagles, but to each their own.
It is just the color come on try it you might like it
Nice toners.
Monsters are so few and far in betweem, one of my closest examples:
10-4,
My Instagram picturesErik
My registry sets
Hoard the keys
One obverse:

and one reverse: (not the same coin unfortunately)

By the way, I love the silver eagle. One of the best I've seen!
Could you imagine if that obverse and reverse were on the same coin what a grand slam that would be!
What do those look like in hand? Super nice monsters
Hoard the keys
Those sure are colorful....
bob:)
Monochrome 1921 Monster...

So many questions..........................
Closest I have to a "monster" toned morgan.

Three that I think are close, if not there:

I'd call your 84 and 85s monsters. Pretty slick coins! And your lead coin as well!
Great thread!
