fine 15 but they bumped it to vf20

this coin though will go for vf25 money or more.

funky dirty and way original. The the old toned over / worn over adjustment marks add to this coin as well.

I think the sharpness of the stars and lettering mean it's a higher grade, and some of the weakness in the centers is "as struck".

    Put me down for VF30.

    I'm in the 15 camp.

F15 for me as well. A little too dark and crusty for my taste, but many like this wholly original look.

It's a nice Fine. !5 would be an appropriate number.

BTW EAC does not grade early silver. If they did get that coin would get a VG-10 at least, unless the dealer is playing the buy in a lower grade, sell in a higher grade game.

It would not surprise me if this coin is in a VF-20 or 25 holder.

Nice crusty original, would put in the F15 grade.

Wouldn't be surprised to see her in a VF20/25 holder.

Definitely undergraded, took a weak obverse strike as wear...Congrats.

So much for my opinion of VF20.

You submitted this and got the VG grade? Looks 10 points under-graded to me and a possible mistake at PCGS.

It looks like a Fine to me. Can't see a VG or VF at all.

I was going to say 20. Try again?

Looks like a solid 15. I'd crack it or get it regraded.

I like it at 12, could possibly make a case for 15.

Great coin as a 10, would not be interested as a 20.

LOL! My original gut feeling was what PCGS graded it VG10. I grade it 15 but am not surprised! Sometimes PCGS doesn't seem to be able to get past weak strikes!

    I thought 15.

I would have guessed 15.... and still think it better than a 10.... Cheers, RickO

A gold 10 isn't worth a cert 15, to me. I gave my opinion earlier.

It looks undergraded for sure. Hair detail and clouds indicate that. The problem is that the graders just don't see many of these. I think I would send it to CAC.

Nice coin. My experience is that PCGS uses the level of detail on the rim in grading circulated draped bust halves. If the coin does not have full dentilation, it may get a VG grade even though central details may warrant a Fine grade, which this coin deserves.

I would crack the coin out and enjoy it raw, without worrying about the TPG grade or sticker.
