I bet that a 55 Columbian with a green bean is a rare bird just because so few AUs would be sent for the bean. Looks better than 55 to me. A bit PL. Fun deal! This is a perfect example of not having to spend a lot to have fun with the hobby.
I've seen these PL before. They are a pretty coin when PL. The field chatter seems excessive but I'm sure that's a by-product of the excellent photography.
All in all I'm going to say the eye appeal is neutral to me with the PL surfaces giving it a slight boost.
If you do what you always did, you get what you always got.
Also, interesting observation from past few PL coin threads. Seems like not many people are ok with field chatter...does that mean those people don't like PL coins? Because most PL or DMPL coins under ms65 have field chatter because of the mirrors.
There is nothing wrong with nice coins under $50 (in the final analysis it all adds up). If these are not selling from my store or at a show I question if bigger ticket material (although I have it) would do any better.
Everybody knows many people coming in the bourse room of a show do not even have $100.

Field chatter to me is in the same minor league as fingerprints and black spots. I'm not a fan, which is why I am almost always disappointed with even MS65 or lower DMPL coins.

I voted 3. To my eye it's been cleaned, and does not look much like a 120 year old coin. In rare instances a silver coin, other than a Morgan Dollar, can be white like this without dipping or whatever, but it has a different "look."
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I went with 6. Quite like it.
