Here's this week's purchase from Doug Winter. 1861 half eagles from San Francisco are somewhat rare, with roughly 60-75 known today. Although many specimens exist in the F-VF grade range, surviving examples tend to be excessively bagmarked, unoriginal, or both. I'm pretty happy with the way this one looks.
