Is it still worth getting rolls (boxes) of half dollars from the bank?

Or, at this point has all the silver been weeded out and nothing left but dirty, grimy clad?

Not really worth it. The last box I bought had 1 40% half in it. Too many searchers , many have perfected the art of unloading each roll checking the coins and putting the rolls back together and putting them back in the box and returning them. It really sucks to get a checked box .
On the other hand I ask every time I go up to a teller and I've gotten much better results from the loose halfs in the teller's tray.
Up until about 4 years ago, it was common for me to find at least one silver quarter out of the 750 +/- I'd get in a month. Some times I'd find two, and often I'd get an interesting foreign piece, too.
But in the last 3 years or so, I've found almost none. And I've added more machines and some of the rates are up, too, so the quantity is definitely greater. I've got 6 or 8 months without finding anything.
Don't know how to account for it. It actually seems like it would be more likely now since prices are down (relative to their 5-year high), and there have been dozens of new quarter varieties in that period of time.

I cornered a couple tellers and the bank manager, showed some photos of the new arrivals in the silver bits I've been picking up and ask if they run across any silver OR old coins from time to time.
I put the word out I'll take Anything silver/interesting/OLD they come across.
Fast forward to 6 months later and Two tellers save the silver coins for me as they come thru their windows.
I left each teller a $20 bill and a Starbucks gift card to covering anything that comes in.
IF anything bigger than $40 worth comes in, I said Call ME and I'll be right down.
the roll searchers in our area that frequent our shop have pretty much given up on Half-Dollars.
Bring back a lot of purchased coins ..a bank flag for money laundering..... Chase , other banks afraid of the Dodd Frank law of 2010
We have a few smaller local banks that I deal with for work and I know the managers of each.

I never found anything. Ten years ago I did pretty well finding silver. Then it dried up leaving
me with $1,000 worth of halves to get rid of each month.
