Hi All,
Ive certainly been reading everyday, but I haven't been back on to post in at least a year. I guess just being busy and working on a whole bunch of dealer stuff has taken a lot of my time. I look forward to being a much more active member again of this wonderful community and look forward to reconnecting with so many great people I have met on here over the years.
Since Exonumia is one of my major loves, I will start off with a new very rare item that I purchased for a customer at the FUN Show.
It is the well known Good For A Scent/Merriam Salamander Press reverse. This piece was Steve Tanenbaum's collection coin and one of the nicest I have ever seen for the type.

New England is where is all started.
I got a cool package of CWT's and patriotic good-for tokens & store cards today, but haven't imaged them yet.
Here's one I enjoy in the meantime -- surely one of the more common (most common?) Hard Times tokens, but this one is a fairly nice example.

Actually it is a embossing press from the same company name on the obv.

Here is a Low #1, the flagship token from the Hard Times series. This one has some graffiti in the right obverse field so it can't be graded, but my attempts to get a better one have been unsuccessful.
This piece features two slogans that were of great importance to the Jackson presidency. "The bank must perish" refers to Jackson's "bank war" when he successfully sought to block a new federal charter for The Bank of the United States. The presidential election of 1832 was based around that issue.
The second, "The union must and shall be preserved," refers to Jackson's battles with the southern states, led by South Carolina, over the issue of nullification. The southern states resented the high protective tariffs, and threatened refuse to pay the duties. Jackson told them he'd send troops down to enforce the law if necessary. The South backed down, although the tariffs were subsequently lowered a bit. This was actually one of the first political shots that would lead to the Civil War.

"Coin collecting for outcasts..."
These are presently the only exonumia items in my Box of 20. My Monitor CWT is pretty much the only "token" in the conventional sense of the word, but I suppose the French jeton sort of counts, too.
On the other hand, my "Oddball" collection (link in sigline) is pretty much all exonumia; mostly love tokens.
France: silver jeton of Louis XV, "Aurora in cloud chariot", undated (ca. 1740)
United States: bronze Civil War token, "Our Little Monitor" type, 1863
Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
