These are not coins. They have no face value and are not legal tender. They are strictly bullion which are now a popular collectable since they were produced at the Philadelphia Mint. Think of them are being gold rounds. As Dan said---there are many counterfeits so be careful buying a raw example. Also agree with coinsarefun that they have a neat design especially with the extra wide rim.
