Would you rather have 70 million cents or just one?

    If forced to buy a chain cent I'd take the 70 million cents and buy the S-2 Joe O'Conner has instead in a heartbeat.

    I'll take the coin, not the 70 million cents. It would cost a fortune to convert them.

    If I had the money for a MS example, I would look for a periods example that comes better struck and without the die marks.

    70 million cents would be a pain in neck to turn into real dollars. I'll take the Chain Cent, especially since it's going to sell for over a million dollars.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    That is an amazing coin... I keep hoping I will find one metal detecting (my area was originally

    settled in the 1600's).... I know it will not be RB... but any Chain Cent would be awesome.

    I do cache hunting, not park or field hunting... so I am often around very old foundations and
