Here's the biggest joke I've heard so far .... and it's true ... our genius governor here in the great State of GA announced he's trying to pass a bill where the lotto winner can reserve the right to keep their name anonymous, for the small fee of 25% paid to the State. Yep, 25% for anonymity. I told my wife, for that much money, I would just hire a team of bodyguards. They could be friends or strangers I don't care. I could pay them $100k annual salary and still come out ahead. Our governor is such a turd sometimes. And if you're thinking, "yeah but that money could help fix roads and educate kids" no. It wouldn't change a thing. We all pay taxes here in GA but the roads in poor 'hoods are always horrible and the schools suck. Money would only line pork barrels and silk pockets.

Absurd.I would rather pay the 25% to my lawyer. I would immediately instruct my lawyer to go to the store and surreptitiously buy the tape of me buying the winning ticket.
When the hapless news hounds show up at the store they would hear,"Oh,we forgot to turn the recorder on before business that day."
$100K cash (1 kilogram of money in $100 bills) should be more than enough to buy the tape.
I'm a firm believer in supporting the local economy,my winning the lottery jackpot notwithstanding.
Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.
I would not be in the market for any of the marquee rarities like a 1913 Liberty Nickel or an 1804 Dollar although I would be open to acquiring the King of Siam Proof Set with the original box. That is one big rarity I would love to own.
As for coin that would be on my list, I'd get a really nice $50 gold slug, I'd chase after the 1801 Jefferson Inaugural Medal by John Reich in earnest. Otherwise I'd just collect what I'm collecting faster.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Bought 10 chances and didn't get 1 number correct.
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose, Cardinal.

I think I'd branch harder into paper money and illustration art from the 1900s-1950s.
