I understand the negative responses to this coin and image, but I imagine that with good light and the coin in-hand that it must have deep, rich orange and amber (brown) with green highlights. In that way, it might be a very cool coin to own and examine, but I would not term it a popular monster.

Maybe it's just the photos but it looks like something died inside the slab atop the coin image

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

I'd imagine it is an end-roll coin.

That's not a "monster". I'd liken that more to being a "Shrek".
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

When considering toned coins one must distinguish between a monster and a monstrosity; being aware that a bad photo can make the former look like the latter.

Definitely crusty. Almost looks like you could loosen it on one edge and peel that all off.

I am willing to bet that that photo is not doing the coin justice, and that it is brighter and much more eye appealing in question.

The colors might actually be nice on this coin. I'm just not crazy about their location.

OK guys but I had to have some reason for not buying it last week.

    Settled on this.

I'm thinking the guy's photo skills are similar to mine, and that the coin looks better in hand.

    Looks intriguing to me.

First of all, Kennedys are like Peace dollars for toning, so anything remotely nice gets attention.
