Wyatt Earp silver eagles

I just saw that that "other" grading service has a "Wyatt Earp" label for silver eagles. What in the world does Wyatt Earp have to do with modern silver eagles? I am at a loss to explain it.

That's a Modern Coin Mart thingy jiss like the Stagecoach Morgans were an APMEX thingy.

Me too, which is why I opened this thread in search of answers.
Sounds extremely gimmicky to me.
Of course that means the general public ("the Great Unwashed", as Dear ol' Dad calls 'em) will no doubt snap 'em up off the TV shopping shows.

MCM has also offered at least one 1886 Morgan silver dollar with an NGC "Wyatt Earp" label.
I'm drawing a blank here. They don't go together at all. I'm out and it just makes me view MCM in a lesser light for even doing that with a label.
One thing if it were coins that circulated back then, or if he were the sculptor a design on the SAE or SOME connection....but there is NO connection.

I got an email from MCM about these. I just grabbed one pic at random from their eBay selection. There's like 50 different choices. While the majority seem to be ASEs and proof ASEs, there are also Peace and Morgan dollars, gold buffalo coins and a couple others.

I have fond memories of the Hugh O'Brien Wyatt Earp TV series from when I was child, before I became a coin collectors. I remember one of their fictional inventions was to fire a perfectly aimed bullet at the side of someone's head in order to render them unconscious not dead. The one thing I found confusing as a child was that the Doc Holliday on the Wyatt Earp series was nothing like the Gene Barry, Doc Holliday, that was running on NBC at the time. How could the same guy be so different?
