1919 2 feather buff
Edited: Fast forward seven years, and I got this one attributed: PCGS 63, POP 4, one finer. Never thought I'd own a top POP coin, not that I attached any priority to it before. I wanted to add it to my Basic Set Circulation Set registry, but since the 2F has a different PCGS #, I'm not sure I can.
Generally I’m not a variety collector, but will add RPMs or abraded die varieties from time to time. This one just seemed to have character: a tad bit of color and two feather to boot. Usually I’m not a big fan of the worn dies that are so prevalent on the reverse but for some reason I think it’s cool on this coin. LIBERTY has some issues but I liked the rest of the coin enough to overlook that. I already have a plain-Jane MS 1919 that is graded higher than this, but I suspect I’m going to like this one more.
Let me know what you think.

For one you have the two feathers instead of three, a nice high grade coin, some toning, and a streaky planchet.
Probably the coolest coin I will see all day
That's a nice coin! Great Pickup.
That's one heck of a strike for that die.

I agree with everything STONE said, that may be the nicest two-feather Buffalo I've ever seen, and on a tougher date for abraded dies. Very, very sweet.

At your rate, that will be around 2025.
I recently cherried a 1913-S Type 1 2 feather + No F in VF from another dealer.

BTW, have you seen the circ. ANACS 1920-S and 1925-S 2 feathers being offered on Teletrade today?

I also would like to see a photo of the 13-s 2 feather no F...
I hear Ron Pope is still in the hospital... has anyone heard recently how he is doing?

If you do a forum search on his name, or his username (koynekwest), his son logged in recently and updated his condition. I agree, these are coins he'd love to see.

One way to find out...try to add it to your set. If it doesn't work you should be able to email the registry people and they'll fix it to allow it. I've used a Superbird in my 1952 Proof Washington spot before, so I believe it should be allowed.

Alain-Took ya awhile but now it's done. Maybe this won't be such a problem in the future-I submitted a list and a format to the CPG authors and publishers so now ALL the true 2 feather coins should be easily attributable. Yep-that's a nice one-a nice example in a nice grade and a helluva strike. My theory about the strike on the abraded die varieties is this-when the dies are polished there is a slight reduction in the relief between the fields and devices, thus allowing for a better strike.
<< <i>Nice bump and grade.

Managed to get this worked out. After getting over talking past each other over fact that slots for 19-p didn't exist anywhere (it is just a 1919) the IT background was worked out to allow the pcgs # for the 2f to be added to the 1919 slot for the general set. Anyone else that has one and wishes to add to their set can now do so.
