the lawd works in mysterious ways!!!!

i need one of those 63 roses!!! i'll take the most banged up beater if ya feel like trading....and i didn't notice a 65 rose in there either. if ya have an extra, i'd be interested in one of those as well

i need to trade something from the childhood collection to complete a part of the childhood collection, so would like to keep "money" outta the equation. if that's something that appeases ya, shoot me a pm.

and nice display, tastes and cards, btw!!

Wow! You have excellent taste in cards. I love the old school aspect of these great cards hanging out in card sleeves instead of a TPG flip.

The understatement of the year. LOL. Oh but I have 8 '53 Robinson's, 5 '56 Mantle's, 5 Rookie Koufax's etc. You know, just laying around.

According to their website that Mickey Mantle should be a 10.

    GEM-MT 10: Gem Mint
A PSA Gem Mint 10 card is a virtually perfect card. Attributes include four perfectly sharp corners, sharp focus and full original gloss. A PSA Gem Mint 10 card must be free of staining of any kind, but an allowance may be made for a slight printing imperfection, if it doesn't impair the overall appeal of the card. The image must be centered on the card within a tolerance not to exceed approximately 55/45 to 60/40 percent on the front, and 75/25 percent on the reverse.

The card is perfect in every way. Really thought it was a 10!? My disappointment is mounting.

Great collection...tough to get the grades you think your cards deserve...we've all been there..never know when there might be a small surface or printing thing going on...good luck with your other grades..

congrats, sam! and welcome to our world...can I get ya your first beer?

rest in knowing that they simply just don't hand out mantle 10's. some of the most submitted cards from every set and while it's probably more than deserving, there are probably politics involved as well...

vcp has the card right at $4450, but a recorded sale hasn't been for close to a year...no telling w/ todays market.

basic 9's simply don't surface too often and 10's aren't even in the proverbial haystack.

so, not a bad start. be happy!

Grading is a learning process. When you get the card back, posts big, clear scans and we can tell you what downgraded it. Useful information for future submissions.
