I like auction magic. It is also not free (one time cost) and it resides on your computer, not the software's server, and therefore, it has to be on to snipe. It has a lot of useful features.

I have always done it myself..... great adrenaline rush..... never lost an item (coin or otherwise) that I really wanted. Let some slide because I was too busy with other stuff... but if it was important.. the MASTER SNIPER would be there and place the nuclear bid at the last three seconds... BAM!!!

same here and it works through the rebate sites. ( High speed internet connection also helps )
I have used Bidnapper for years, and always been pleased. It's not free, but it's never let me down.
Good luck!
a pot of coffee and a clear schedule at the end of the auction.

Always worked for me if I really wanted it. Haven't bid on anything in 3-1/2 years.
